Sam O. Hirota, Inc.Over the course of the projects' 10 year history, the firm has performed everything from non-significant zoning changes to aerial mapping for the Kūki'o Resort and the Kūki'o Beach Club projects.
In terms of surveying work, SOH performed ALTA and topographic site surveys, boundary studies, and easement creation, as well as the above mentioned zoning changes and aerial mapping. Civil engineering work involved mass grading analysis, subdivision planning, FEMA flood evaluation study, and drainage reports. As the Master Engineering Consultant, SOH services included coordination of transportation, sanitary engineering/wastewater treatment system, revers osmosis water treatment and distribution, and electrical engineering and communications planning and permitting. |
Kῡki'oLocated on the Big Island of Hawaii's North Kona coast, the 650-acre private residential club fronts magnificent beaches and features a beach club, public park, historic sites, anchialine ponds and lagoons. Incorporated in the project are view corridors for the 300 home sites, historic trails and a ten-hole Tom Fazio-designed golf course just downslope from the eighteen-hole Tom Fazio-designed championship golf course.
