Dr. Hirota is President, and in charge of management of company efforts in Civil Engineering and Information Services. Experience in civil engineering design associated with major transportation and commercial facilities in State of Hawaii. This experience base has included both practical and academic applications in the use of computers in engineering, planning and architecture. Dr. Hirota was formerly a lecturer in the use of computers in planning and architecture in the School of Architecture at the University of Hawaii in Manoa.
Extensive experience in the use of in-house computer and computer graphics facilities for planning and site work analysis. In-house programming experience in FORTRAN and BASIC. Extensive knowledge on hardware/software interfacing of display and non-standard peripheral devices
He has been a National Director and President of Consulting Engineers Council of Hawaii, an organization of consulting engineering firms in Hawaii. In addition, for American Consulting Engineers Council, Dr. Hirota has been Chairman and is a member of the Computers in Practice Committee.
Currently a Director of CPB, Inc.(a bank holding company) and Central Pacific Bank in Honolulu, Hawaii. Dr. Hirota is also President of the Hawaii Loa Ridge Association as well as a director for LeJardin Academy in Kailua.
Senior Environmental Engineer (CAPT, USAF), USAF Environmental Research Laboratory(Air Force Weapons Laboratory), Kirtland AFB, New Mexico (1967-1971). Experience with remote location site support for complex installations. Specific experience in problems concerning water distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, and industrial waste treatment for major U.S. Air Force maintenance and scientific facilities.
